Founded in 2019 by Drew Cleaver

In the summer of 2019, Drew's longtime & trusted friend encouraged him to try a Tesla Model 3 Performance during Tesla's promotional offer of 7-days and 1,000 miles to return the car for a full refund if not satisfied.

Immediately after taking delivery, Drew took his 2019 showroom stock Performance Model 3 AWD to the historic Hallett Motor Racing Circuit.

Drew immediately saw the performance & commercial potential in professional Tesla motorsport.

But, more important was the long-term cost and reliability of electric vehicle ownership, which extrapolates tremendously into making a cost-effective, sustainable motorsport operations and eco-tourism business possible.

Drew Cleaver is a lifetime racing driver from SKUSA junior shifter karts in the 1990s to WRL endurance racing for over a decade.

Spec Tesla began competition in the Summer of 2020 with a debut win for Drew in a near-stock 2019 Tesla Model 3 AWD Performance supported by Unplugged Performance in Gridlife Street Class Time Attack against rulebook maximum dedicated turbo ICE time attack cars and the like.

The Spec Tesla concept car was driven to and from the event on the competition tires in Full Self Driving mode.

Spec Tesla now includes lifelong racer & world-class professional skydiver Collin Robb as our prospecting Director of Driver Development for our future customer racing operation, along with our friend, former Red Bull Racing F1 Junior & NASCAR Xfinity driver Matt Jaskol, as Director of Commercial Partnerships.

In 2023, Spec Tesla will move into our new construction shop in a commercial motorsport development complex, Garages of the Americas, across from Circuit of the Americas.

Spec Tesla also has a Tesla Semi reservation anticipating 2023 delivery to use for motorsport operations & commercial logistics.
